Applicants can choose between purchasing or leasing property and must also contribute to the Maltese government and a registered NGO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Property Investment Options<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants must either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Purchase property valued at a minimum of \u20ac375,000 in Malta or Gozo; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lease property for a minimum annual rent of \u20ac14,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The property must remain available to the beneficiary as their main residence for at least five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Contributions and Donations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depending on the chosen property option:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leasing a property: The applicant must contribute \u20ac37,000 to the Government of Malta.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Purchasing a property: The contribution amount may vary but remains a core requirement of the programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, a \u20ac2,000 donation must be made to a registered local NGO or organisation of choice, following clearance from the Residency Malta Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Administrative Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Initial Fee: \u20ac15,000 \u2013 payable within one month of submitting the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Final Fee: \u20ac45,000 \u2013 payable within two months of the Letter of Approval in Principle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additional Dependants: \u20ac7,500 each for adult dependants added post-approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All fees are non-refundable and must be paid within the stipulated timeframes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application Timeframes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Processing begins once a complete and correct file is submitted.
