Dr Adrian Sciberras, FCCA, FIA, CPA, LL.B. (Hons) (Melit.), M. Adv (Melit.), M.A. (Dip. St.) (Melit.), is a certified public accountant and advocate born in 1980. Educated at St. Aloysius College, he has built a distinguished career spanning accounting, business and law.

With over two decades of experience in accountancy, Dr Sciberras has established himself as an expert in assisting clients to achieve business success through practical and sound tax and financial processes. As the founder of both an accounting and audit company and a corporate services provider, he has demonstrated versatility in accountancy, VAT, taxation, and company formation sectors. His expertise extends to company management, international corporate structures, and business consulting.

Dr Sciberras’ educational journey reflects his unwavering commitment to continuous learning and professional development. His academic pursuits began in 2003 when he obtained his accounting degree while simultaneously working in the private sector, demonstrating his ability to balance professional responsibilities with educational aspirations. Fifteen years later, in 2018, he expanded his expertise into the legal field by graduating with an LL.B. (Hons) (Melit.) in law. Building upon this foundation, Dr Sciberras completed a Master of Advocacy degree the following year in 2019, further solidifying his legal acumen. Most recently, in 2024, he broadened his interdisciplinary knowledge by finalising a Master of Arts in Diplomatic Studies (M.A. (Dip. St.) (Melit.)), showcasing his dedication to expanding his skill set and embracing new challenges in the realm of international relations and diplomacy.

In 2020, Dr Sciberras became a warranted lawyer after gaining valuable experience with an established local law firm. Subsequently, he founded Sciberras Advocates, his own law firm. His legal practice has given him extensive experience in various areas of law, including corporate, taxation, contract, commercial, financial crime, litigation, and arbitration. Additionally, he has developed expertise in immigration, employment and labour, property, and commercial law.

In addition to his professional practice, Dr Sciberras holds non-executive directorship roles within regulated financial institutions. With effect from May 2024, he was appointed as an independent non-executive director of Dizz Finance p.l.c., where he also serves as a member of the company’s audit committee. Furthermore, with effect from December 2025, Dr Sciberras was appointed as an independent non-executive director of Smartcare Finance p.l.c., likewise serving on its audit committee. These appointments reflect his strong expertise in governance, financial oversight, and regulatory compliance.

Dr Sciberras is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK and a member of the Malta Chamber of Advocates. His linguistic skills include fluency in Maltese, English, and Italian, enhancing his ability to serve a diverse clientele.
